The Estoque will be the first ship you acquire in Lost Ark. It is obtained at about level 35-40 from the main questline, just before leaving Wavestrand Port in East Luterra and heading across the sea to Tortoyk Island.
Although there are 8 different ships in the game, most players choose to upgrade the Estoque first. This is because it is a strong ship that can be quickly upgraded to weather the most hazardous waters. Other ships, like Astray, can obtain better speed and resistances, but it takes more time and effort to obtain them.
Why the Estoque Matters
In the world of Arkesia, ships are used for transporting your characters across the seas to new lands. There are many continents and islands to explore, surrounded by 6 different types of hazardous seas: Kelp Beds, Sandstorm, Siren, Cold Snap, Tempest, and Dead Waters.
Currently, there are a total of 8 different ships you can acquire through adventuring in Lost Ark, each with different Resistances to hazardous seas, ship speed, and crew members. All ships are Roster-bound so every character you create that has access to the water can use them.
After each ship is acquired, you can also use it in your Stronghold to send that ship out on dispatches – earning seals, pirate coins, and other goodies.

Estoque Stats
All of the Estoque’s base hazard resistances at Level 1 are +12 and reach +32 at Level 11, gaining +2 in every sea hazard resistance at each upgrade.

Upgrading the Estoque
After acquiring the materials for an upgrade, simply dock (Press Z key) your ship at any major city harbor. Push the Upgrade button at the top right of the screen, confirm you have all the materials necessary, then push the OK button. The ship will be instantly upgraded with no wait time.
Upgrading the Estoque takes 3-4 different materials at each Level. Use the tables below to calculate cost in sailing coins, materials, and gold.
The Estoque gains Speed, Hazard Resistances, and 1 Crew Slot at level 7.
Estoque Upgrade Charts
The tables below show the material costs for upgrading the Estoque. The first chart goes by individual level, showing the parts and costs of each separate upgrade from 1 – 11. Unless you’re swimming in excess sailing coins, I do not recommend upgrading the Estoque after level 10 because the costs of upgrading to level 11 far outweigh the benefits.
The second chart is a breakdown of the costs in coin, gold, and materials to level the Estoque from 1 – 10.
The third table shows the upgrade process broken into more doable chunks, grouped by similar materials. For example, upgrades 1 – 5 all require the same materials.

Estoque Ship Material 2 & 3
Ship Parts can be crafted at the Processor NPC in any major city. Materials and gold cost in the chart are for 1 batch. Each batch makes 15 ship parts. You will always end up with more parts than you need for each upgrade because of this.

Estoque Special Material 4
Special Material 4 can be purchased for 25 sailing coins each at the Plumpcrab Fishing and Spearfish Hunting Guild Vessel traveling merchant ships, which arrive and leave at regular intervals from the city harbor, docking for 15 minutes at a time before disappearing and returning with a ‘fresh supply’. If you happen to arrive when neither of these ships is there, just wait a short minute and one will arrive. The table below shows the merchant ship location and coin cost for each material.
Material 4 can also be purchased at certain Stronghold (SH) merchants with SH seals. The table below shows which Stronghold merchants sells each material 4, the type of seals they accept, and the number of seals each material costs.
