Tuvala Gear Upgrade to Combatant Tuvala

• Combatant’s Stone Removal: Combatant Stones can be removed from Tuvala gear
  • Purchasing a “Combatant’s Restoration Stone” from a blacksmith/armor vendor.
  • Talk to the blacksmith/armor vendor and select “Extraction” to remove the Combatant’s Stone

• Combatant’s Stone (Weapon) can NOT be used on the Shai weapon, Tuvala Sol.
• Combatant’s Stone (Weapon) and Combatant’s Stone (Armor) can be used to reform Tuvala gear equipable by normal characters with a Tuvala Conversion Stone.
• Since patch 1-26-22 you can now use Tuvala Weapon Exchange Coupons on Combatant’s Tuvala weapons.

Maery’s Combatant Stone Quests:

• [Special Aid] Where the Spirits First Breathe: Armor = 1 Combatant’s Stone (Armor)
• [Special Aid] Where the Spirits First Breathe: Weapon = 1 Combatant’s Stone (Weapon)

Convert Combatant Stones Back to Narchillan Gear:

• You can change your mind and convert Combatant Stone back to Narchillan Gear set.
• Processing (L) > Heating on Combatant Stone to obtain 7 “Spirit’s First Breath”.
• Bring 7 “Spirit’s First Breath” to Fughar and accept the “[Special Aid] By the Power of Narchillan Once More” quest. Complete this quest to obtain all 7 Narchillan gear types.

Narchillan Weapon Class Change

Since patch 2-16-22, you can change your class and still use your Narchillan Weapons.

Once you’ve completed at least one of the Narchillan Main, Sub, or Awakening Weapon exchange quests, a new dialog option will be available through Fughar, “[Help] Exchanging Narchillan Weapons.”

Processing (L) → Manufacture:

Narchillan Processing Stones (Main/Sub/Awakening Weapon) are sold at a Blacksmith NPC in every major city.

Comparing Narchillan Gear to Blackstar Gear

While the Narchillan Main Hand has a small increase to base AP, AP against monsters, and Accuracy compared to the DUO Blackstar, the TRI Blackstar is the clear winner over the Narchillan. Narchillan is better than DUO Blackstar Main, however, not at the level of TRI Blackstar Main.

Main Weapon Ranking: 4 out of 10

On an improvement scale of 1 to 10,  with 1 = DUO Blackstar, and 10 = TRI Blackstar, Narchillan weapons are at the 4 mark, very close to the midway point between DUO and TRI Blackstar Main Weapon.

Chest Ranking: 3 out of 10

The Narchillan Armor’s improvement over DUO Blackstar Armor is negligible. Compared to the Narchillan weapons, the Narchillan Armors fall lower on the improvement scale, landing somewhere around 3, less than the midway point between DUO and TRI Blackstar Armor.

Comparing Narchillan Sub-weapon to Kutum

Subweapon Ranking: 5 out of 10

In AP, DP, and ‘Extra AP Against Monsters’ item effect, the Narchillan Sub-weapon is right in the middle between TRI Kutum and TET Kutum. For this reason, I would place the Narchillan Sub-weapon at a 5 on the improvement scale of 1-10.

Narchillan Awakening Weapon Comparison

To get a better idea of how Narchillian compares to other yellow grade gear, let’s compare the Narchillan Aad Sphera to several TET Awakening Weapons, including the new-player only Cliff’s Aad Sphera.

As you can see by the graphics above, the Narchillan Aad Sphera is quite good compared to all yellow grade TET Aad Spheras. It is weaker than the TET Blackstar.

How Good is Narchillan Gear?

In conclusion, Narchillan gear is a good place holder until you can obtain TET boss gear and TRI Blackstar gear. It is better than TRI boss gear, DUO Blackstar, and TET Tuvala. Keep in mind, however, that Narchillan gear can’t be enhanced, reformed, or sold.

So it’s a good step to obtaining your boss gear dreams!

The big, big, big, major advantage of Narchillan is the cost of obtaining it. Cheap! Super cheap to get by exchanging Naru Gear.

Comparing Narchillan Item Effects to Blackstar, Boss, and Tuvala Gear

Use the chart below for a comparison of gear effects.

Narchillan Armor pieces have Monster Damage Reduction bonuses similar to Blackstar Armor pieces.

Note that the Narchillan main hand weapon has no Critical Hit Damage Bonus.
