Time-filled Black Stones for Tuvala Enhancement

Time-filled Black Stones are used to improve Tuvala Gear by increasing its enhancement level. You can also exchange them to help upgrade normal gear.

Time-filled Black Stone Highlights:

Tuvala Enhancement

Time-filled Black Stones are the base enhancement material for Tuvala gear. Each enhancement level requires a certain number of stones to attempt an enhancement. A PEN Tuvala Armor enhancement costs 15 Time-Filled Black Stones per attempt.

Use Advice of Valks or a saved enhancement chance to increase the enhancement chance for enhancements that are not guaranteed. Valks’ Cry can also be added to the enhancement chance.

Cron Stones can be used to protect a piece of gear or an accessory from downgrading on a failed enhancement. A PEN (V) Tuvala Armor enhancement attempt costs 165 Cron Stones to protect it from downgrading to a TRI (III) on a failed enhancement.

Agris Essence

Whenever an enhancement fails, Agris Essence builds up. After the Agris Essence meter is filled, your next enhancement is guaranteed.

A TET (IV) Tuvala gear takes 8 failed enhancements to fill up the Agris meter for a guaranteed PEN (V) enhancement.

Guaranteed Enhancement

PRI (I), DUO (II), TRI (III) Tuvala gear has a 100% success rate, regardless of the enhancement chance you have (and will not consume that stack.)

Frozen & Boiling Tides Black Stones

You will receive a Frozen Tides Black Stone and a Boiling Tides Black Stone as Season Pass rewards. The Frozen Tides Stone guarantees PEN (V) enhancement for a TET (IV) Tuvala armor or weapon. The Boiling Tides Stone guarantees PEN (V) enhancement for a TET (IV) Tuvala accessory.

You must equip the Tides Stone from your inventory into the enhancement window yourself. It won’t automatically show up in the enhancement window like Time-filled Black Stones. Unfortunately, this often results in forgetting about the Tides Stones and a waste of enhancement materials.

Repairing Tuvala Max Durability

Tuvala armor and weapons suffer a -5 Max Durability loss every time an enhancement fails. Guaranteed Enhancement suffers -20 Max Durability loss.

Max Durability on Tuvala gear can be repaired using Time-filled Black Stones. Each stone repairs +5 Max Durability. Try not to use Memory Fragments or Artisan’s Memory to repair Tuvala gear (ouch!).

Time-filled Black Stone Exchange

Time-filled Black Stone can also be exchanged to Fughar for items that upgrade both Tuvala and normal gear.

Exchange Time-filled Black Stones for Fail Stacks and Valks’ Cry:

• 20 = Advice of Valks (+10)
• 40 = Valks’ Cry x1
• 50 = Advice of Valks (+20)
• 150 = Advice of Valks (+30)
• 500 = Advice of Valks (+40)

Exchange Time-filled Black Stones for Tuvala Gear:

• 2 = Tuvala Weapon or Armor x1
• 10 = Tuvala Accessory x1

Exchange Time-filled Black Stones for Item Collection Scrolls:

• 300 = Item Collection Increase Scroll x1

Building Extra Failstacks

Time-Filled Black Stones are an inexpensive way to build extra failstacks for later use. Whenever you fail at enhancement, it increases your Enhancement Chance (Failstack).

Use the Exchange Chance button to save a Failstack to Naderr’s Band for later use. Learn about Failstacks.

Or, purchase a Blacksmith’s Secret Book from any blacksmith to save the base failstack chance to a scroll.

Season Quests to Kill Mobs

There are two types of quests to kill mobs for enhancement materials.

• Weekly Season Grind: Obtain 600 black stones for Tuvala enhancement.
• Region Monster Zone: Obtain enhancement materials you will use after graduation.

Regional Quests

As you are happily defeating baddies, you may stumble upon Regional Monster Zone Quests that will automatically be given to you if you are the correct level. The UI will appear next to your mini-map.

• These quests are sometimes called instant quests because you instantly obtain them and don’t have to get them from an NPC.
• To obtain regional quests, just enter the grinding spot on your Season Character and an alert window will show next to the mini map.
• Please note that normal regional Subjugation quests may take precedence. When you finish these, you will then see the Season regional quests.

Kill Requirement: 250 and then 500 mobs

Time-filled Black Stones via Grinding

Time-filled Black Stones are obtained via drops from many grinding spots.

Time-filled Black Stone drop rates have been increase by 60% in a recent patch. Previously, the average drop rate was about 200 per hour with the correct kill speed. The objective is to be able to kill with one shot and quickly move from pack to pack in high mob density hunting zones.

Last Season’s Top Grinding Spots for Time-filled Black Stones:

1. Polly’s Forest – Infinite HP/MP Pot. Combat/Skill EXP boosted. Good silver. Great mob density. What’s not to love about Mushrooms? Except it’s popular and sometimes crowded.
2. Desert Naga Temple – very good mob density and close to town.
3. Titium Valley Desert Fogans – good mob density, but difficult desert location.
4. Roud Sulfur Works – good mob density and treasure rare drop.
5. Taphtar Plain Centaurs – also an excellent grinding spot for Magical Shards and silver.

Time-Filled Black Stones via Gathering

On season servers, you can obtain Time-Filled Black Stones via the Gathering Life Skill. (Excludes barehanded gathering, digging, milking, and scooping water.)

Season Atoraxxion Requirements:

• Level 60+
• “Invitation from I” Black Spirit main questline
• Completed Succession or Awakening questline
• Completed the quest “[Atoraxxion] Talibre’s Tear” in the quest line “[5-person Co-op] The Last Stronghold, Atoraxxion” which allows you to interact with the Sol Magia in the Ancient Stone Chamber.
• Afterwards, you can defeat the final boss in Atoraxxion: Vahmalkea/Sycrakea/Yolunakea and get the weekly rewards without doing the main questline.
