From Velia, you can travel to Iliya Island and eventually even further to Land of the Morning Light. You can do this via griffon or ferry boat.
Velia ↔ Iliya Island ↔ Oquilla’s Eye ↔ LOML
- After taking a ferry/griffon to Iliya Island, you can travel to Oquilla’s Eye.
- From Oquilla’s Eye you can go back to Iliya Island or sail even further to Land of the Morning Light.
Ferry boats to Iliya look like cog ships. You can watch ferry boats traveling across the map (M) in game.
Velia to Iliya Island by Griffon:
- The griffon is located near the western entrance of Velia—you’ll see Momo and baby Griffon standing near the landing.
- Climb up onto the crate of timber the Griffon is holding.
- The griffon will depart 4 minutes after stopping at the station.
- The Iliya griffon station is located on the western road of Iliya.
- The griffon ride takes about 4 minutes.
- Do not attempt to move off the logs while in flight or you’ll fall, possibly to your death.
Velia to Iliya Island by Ferry Boat:
- Ferry boat stops at the Old Pier sign near Imperial Fishing Delivery, North of the Storage Keeper.
- Ferry looks like a cog boat—small cabin, 1 sail, an NPC at the helm. See pic below.
- Ferry waits a few minutes before taking off to Iliya Island.
- Jump or Climb aboard boat—do not jump or run around a lot while boat is moving or you may lag off the boat and end up in the water.
- Fish off the side of the boat for something to do during the ride.
- Ferry ride to Iliya takes about 15 minutes—Griffon ride is faster.
Iliya Island to Velia or Oquilla’s Eye
From Iliya Island, you can travel to Oquilla’s Eye via ferry or back to Velia via griffon or ferry.
Both ferrys anchor at the sourthern-most pier. The one to Velia comes in from the left. The one to Oquilla comes in from the right. The soldiers stationed on the pier will call out when the ferry comes in. You can also chat with them for information.
If you want to take the Griffon to Velia, head up the stone path and along the northwest road. You’ll see the landing and soldiers waving flags. Wait a few minutes for the Griffon if it isn’t there.
Iliya Island Griffon & Ferry Map
Iliya to Velia by Griffon:

- Boat to Velia comes in from the left side of the pier. Soldiers at the end of the pier will tell you.
- Boat to Oquilla’s Eye comes in from the right side of the pier. Soldiers at the end of the pier will tell you. See pic below.
- Ferry waits a few minutes before leaving.
- Jump or Climb aboard boat—do not jump or run around a lot while boat is moving or you may lag off the boat and end up in the water.
- Fish off the side of the boat for something to do during the ride.
- Ferry ride to Velia takes about 15 minutes—Griffon ride is faster.
- Ferry ride to Oquilla’s Eye takes about about 20 minutes.
Travel from Oquilla’s Eye to LOML or Iliya Island
From Oquilla’s Eye, you can travel to LOML (Land of Morning Light) via big ship or to Iliya Island via ferry boat.
If you’re heading to LOML, board the big ship that comes to anchor on the NE coast of Oquilla’s Eye. If you want to head south to Iliya Island, board the ferry boat that anchors near the wharf master.
Big Ship Ferry Between Oquilla’s Eye & LOML:
- A big ship ferry to LOML anchors for about 6 minutes at Oquilla’s Eye NE coast before it leaves. See map.
- Climb the stairs to board the ship—do not jump or run around a lot while ship is moving or you may lag off the boat and end up in the water.
- Fish off the side of the boat for something to do during the ride.
- Boat trip between Nampo’s Moodle Village in LOML and Oquilla’s Eye takes about 30 minutes.
Ferry from Oquilla’s Eye to Iliya Island:

Travel to Lema Island via Ferry
There is a ferry that will take you directly to Lema Island. Find Chadwick, the <Guild Wharf Manager> located along the coast, east of Olvia. You can use the NPC finder to locate him and autopath.

- Ferry waits a few minutes before leaving.

- Ferry ride takes about about 15 minutes and ends at Hemsworth <Guild Wharf Manager> on the west coast of Lema.
Sky Balloon Travel
Purchase a ticket to ride a Sky Balloon from the following NPC’s:
- Calpheon: Kalix
- Altinova: Lisam
- Valencia: Mason
- Grána: Ophelia
Use the NPC finder near your mini map to search for ‘sky balloon’.
Sky Balloon Ticket Cost: 1 Black Stone
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, hand it over to the Sky Balloon Assistant on the landing.
Sky Balloon Routes:
- Calpheon ↔ Altinova
- Altinova ↔ Valencia
- Grána ↔ Calpheon (6 minute flight)
- Your Sky Balloon will appear after you give your ticket to the Station Dwarf NPC. (Sky Balloon Boarding Assistant)
- Up to two adventurers can board the Sky Balloon.
- You will not be able to interact with the station NPC again after the Sky Balloon appears.
- Sky balloon disappears if you don’t board it; ticket is nonrefundable.
- You can leave the Sky Balloon immediately after you board it, but not after it departs.
- Pressing Esc > Disconnect will cause you to fall to the ground and die. There is no Death Penalty for dying this way.
- When the Sky Balloon arrives at its destination, you will automatically get off. The Sky Balloon will disappear.
