BDO Crossroad Quest Line II: Silence We’re Done Here (Black Desert Online)

Black Desert Online introduced new Crossroad Quests in a patch on 12 December 2018.

Players now must choose one of three story lines for each character.

Crossroad Quests give us the ability to experience BDO in new ways. Each Crossroad quest has a unique story and takes you through different monster zones.

BDO Crossroad Quest Choices:

Inventory: same Inventory slots (Total Black Spirit’s Gift Inventory: 23)
Knowledge: each Crossroad Quest gives an opportunity to get different Knowledge topics.
Items: same basic beginner gear (Basteer weapons, AP accessories, etc)
Start NPC: Progress through the main story (O key then Main tab.) and you will encounter the quest, Paying Off Debts, to take money to Bobby Lauren in Heidel. After turning this in, you will have a window appear where you must select a Crossroad quest line.
No Going Back: once you make a choice, you can’t change your mind. If you want to experience a different Crossroad quest, you must do so on an Alt.

Crossroad II quest line offers the shortest and quickest run through to complete the main story. It also has the lowest Skill Points and other goodies. However, Crossroad II quest line is full of Repeatable combat quests for Contribution XP.

② The second path begins with the quest [Crossroad] Silence, We’re Done Here!. This path will lead you to NPCs around cities and towns that will ask you to help them with their big and small problems. Follow this path past the northern sections of Calpheon to arrive in Keplan. This is where you will start the quests covering the story about Oze, the daughter of the Lord of Keplan that has gone missing.

BDO Crossroad Quest: Silence, We’re Done Here!

[Crossroad] Quest Window Description:

Listen to the Black Spirit’s whispers and what the villagers have to say to proceed. The quests in this route is
mainly centered around defeating monsters compared to other quest routes. The story of Lord of Keplan’s
daugther, Oze, will begin once you’re half way through Calpheon.

Sigh, aren’t you tired of listening to their complaints all the time? When did merchants ever care about anything other than profit?

Crossroad Quest Line #1:

[II] THE HEAD OF THE REBELS 8/8

This quest line will open up a nice repeatable Contribution quest for beginning players. Each time it’s completed, you earn 150 Contribution. This grinding quest is repeatable as long as you don’t progress in the main Velia story quest. (There is a similar one in Heidel for Nagas.

Again we are given the opportunity to repeat a grinding quest that rewards 150 Contribution each as long as we don’t progress in the main story. This time the quest requires Nagas.

Each section after this opens up a similar repeatable quest for that quest area.

Which Crossroad Quest is the Best?

What’s more fun to you? Questing or combat?

Quest Lovers
Crossroad III quest line offers a huge amount of quests with more loot. It has 7 more Skill Points than the second largest and a handful more Armor Stones. But the quest count is almost twice as many. Many of the quests are optional, offering gold bars and other money making goodies.

Crossroad III gives no opportunity for the repeatable kill x many for Contribution quests. With its high quest count, make sure you love questing before you choose this quest line! 🙂

Combat Lovers
Crossroad II quest line is perfect for those just wanting a quick run through without allot of quests getting in the way. I think it caters for those more interested in hunting mobs. In fact, each section has at least one [Repeat] quest you can do for more combat fun that will reward you with 150 Contribution Exp each.

Mixed Bag
Crossroad I quest line is a sort of middle ground. Having about half as many quests as the quest lovers line, but also throwing in a few repeatable combat quests here and there.
