Alchemy Mastery Spirit Stones

New Spirit Stones were introduced into BDO with Alchemy Mastery. They are cheaper to craft than comparable Alchemy Stones.

Spirit Stones are similar to normal Alchemy Stones…

  • Lower Durability: only 20 Durability and can’t be Recharged
  • Can’t Upgrade: Spirit Stones can’t be Polished or Grown.
  • Rare Ingredient Requirement: Reagent of Harmonious Spirits is not easy to obtain in bulk.
  • Alchemy Mastery Requirement: Alchemy Mastery 500 crafted on an Alchemy Tool

Higher Alchemy Mastery increases the chance of obtaining a higher grade Spirit Stone.

Processing > Grind > Spirit Stones to create Alchemy Stone Shard, used in crafting alchemy stones like Vell’s Heart.

Reagent of Harmonious Spirits is a special item obtained through Alchemy Mastery. It is a rare byproduct once you reach level 50 of Alchemy Mastery.

You can also obtain it via quest.

There are many items you can obtain that will buff your Alchemy Mastery or Life Mastery level. Manos gear is the best, but also extremely expensive to enhance.

  • Loggia Gear  (sold by Camellia Loggia <Seed Vendor> for 1 million Silver at Loggia Farm)
  • Geronoa Gear (sold by the <Material Vendor> Geronoa in Calpheon City for 10 million Silver)
  • Manos Gear (Processing > Manufacture of rare ingredients.)

Life Mastery Gear Enhancement

Life Mastery clothes and accessories can be improved by enhancement, using Black Gems crafted from Black Gem Fragments.

    • Life Mastery gear can be upgraded to PEN (V)
    • Enhancement levels increase the Life Mastery given
    • Life Mastery gear enhancement with Black Gems does not use the traditional Failstack system. Enhancement Chance is always a set amount no matter how much you fail.
    • Enhancement with Black Gems “have a higher success rate than the previous enhancement methods.” (70% PRI, 40% DUO, 30% TRI for greed grade.) Although it seems from player reports that RNG is a-foot!

    Black Gem Fragment

    Black Gem Fragments are used to create Black Gems and then Concentrated Magical Black Gems.

    Obtain By Gathering:

    • Mining
    • Barehanded Gathering (excludes Golem gathering)
    • Hoe Gathering
    • Fluid/Blood Collecting
    • Tanning (Skinning)
    • Butchering (Hunting with a Matchlock/Sniper Rifle and then butchering will provide Black Gem Fragments as well.)
    • Lumbering

    NOTE: The rates of fragments from chopping/sapping trees and mining is lower than butchering/bleeding animals or gathering herbs.
