Obtaining Mass of Pure Magic:

• Node Investment
  • Star’s End – excavation node far west of Calpheon City (100% drop rate)
  • Crypt of Resting Thoughts – excavation node NW of O’draxxia, O’dyllita (SE of Kamasylvia) (100% drop rate)
  • Mountain of Division – excavation node NW of O’draxxia, O’dyllita (SE of Kamasylvia)
• Rare drop from Processing (L) > Grinding: Black Stone
• Certain grinding spots drop about 6 per hour.

Mass of Pure Magic from Star’s End Node

Star’s End is a high AP/DP Dangerous Node located West of Calpheon City and North of Grana.

Mass of Pure Magic can be obtained via the Star’s End Excavation Sub-Node. Proc rate is 100%.

Trace of Nature and Trace of Nature is also there, given at 1 each per worker cycle.

The other subnode gives Copper, Melted Copper, and Shattered Star Fragment. Shattered Star Fragment is worth 640 silver or you can exchange 30 for a scroll that gives Skill EXP +5% for 10 minutes.

Star’s End Node Output

With a level 30 Artisan Goblin, it takes about 6 hours to harvest the Star’s End node 1 time. You are guaranteed a Mass of Pure Magic each time. (Drop rate is 100%, which means 4 per day, if you keep your computer running and worker fed.)

Cheapest Route to Stars End Node: Grana 

The route from Grana is cheaper in Contribution cost, if you use the one free worker space.

This node route would give you access to Tooth Fairy Forest, which gives a valuable item, Trace of Nature. Other sub-nodes along this route produce Noc Ore, and Loopy Tree items. Obtaining these additional sub-nodes would tack on an additional cost of 5 Contribution Points, because 2 extra workers cost 5 CP for additional Lodging in Grana. You would also need extra CP for the additional sub-nodes.

Heidel workers are much cheaper, often 1 or 2 CP per worker. Grana must make some extraordinary talent!!! 🙂

The Heidel route is more expensive and would not give you the option of getting additional goodies from investing in it. Heidel workers are cheap, but it doesn’t do much good, since the route from Heidel has no other resource sub-nodes.

Mass of Pure Magic from O’dyllita

You can obtain Mass of Pure magic from two nodes located in O’dyllita, which is SE of Kamasylvia.

• Crypt of Resting Thoughts – excavation node NW of O’draxxia (1 per work cycle)
• Mountain of Division – excavation node NW of O’draxxia (2 per work cycle)

TLDR:

Best Node Route to Obtain Mass of Pure Magic: Crypt of Resting Thoughts

The best route, based upon time and drop rate, is reported to be Crypt of Resting Thoughts, which costs 13 CP.

With running BDO for 8 hours, the Crypt drops 2 to 3 vs Mountain of Division which gives 0 to 1 for 10 CP. 

Best Grinding Spots to Obtain Mass of Pure Magic

The best grinding spots drop about 6 Mass of Pure Magic per hour.

Mass of Pure Magic drops in most grinding spots starting with Valencia.

Gathering Mass of Pure Magic

The gathering Life Skill also provides Mass of Pure Magic. The best spots drop 1 per hour. Also choose the ones that are the most profitable.

Wild Herbs are popular because they give more gathering experience. But they are very beneficial for obtaining rare herbs used in alchemy.

Gathering Rough Stone at Pilgrim’s Haven

Pilgrim’s Haven also offers 1 Mass of Pure Magic every hour.

It is also the best place and easiest place to gather Rough Stone. Mudstone nodes are heaped one on top of another and you barely have to move to gather. Just jump on top of a Mudstone tower and press the R key multiple times.

This location is in the Great Desert of Valencia, so be sure to have Purified Water and Star Anise Tea. Otherwise, it’s safe enough to take even low level characters.

Gathering Meat & Blood at Sheep Hill

Sheep Hill is the most famous gathering location for meat and blood. Both give about 1 Mass of Pure Magic per hour. Meat is currently more profitable than blood, but be sure to check bdolytics.com for profitability.

You can obtain up to 6 Destructive Illusion each day from repeatable quests in Calpheon (NE of Stars End node).
