Epheria Cog is a ship introduced with the Great Expedition expansion. It’s a temporary boat that excels at speed, but lacks good inventory and combat ability compared to higher tier ships.
The best part about Epheria Cog is the ease of obtaining one via crafting or quest.
It’s a good starter ship for beginning sailors.
- Two unique appearances, but same ship stats
- Excellent Speed & Acceleration (140%)
- only 1 Inventory 🙁
- crafted in Port Epheria
- reward for main Sailing quest line
- can’t use Sailors or harpoons on ship
- Lifespan limits your use (can’t be repaired)
- can’t auto-path/auto-loop
Epheria Cog Stats:
Durability: 100,100 (repairable)
Lifespan: 500,000 (not repairable)

Epheria Cog Recipes
Epheria Cog has two different recipes, giving two different appearances. Both ships have the same speed and stats.
The recipe materials for one Cog Ship is obtained via Barter and a Sea Monster drop. The other Cog Boat requires 7 million Silver along with node materials easily obtained.
Ship License: Epheria Cog (Kalis-Certified)
The materials required to craft the Cog Ship (Kalis) are easy to obtain for most players. Gather them yourself or via worker nodes. If you don’t want to wait and have Silver, purchase them on the Marketplace.

Cog Ship via Questing
You obtain a Cog Ship (Fallen Vell Pirates’ Legacy) by completing the following quest:
This quest is at the end of the main Sailing quest line. It will also give you other goodies like a Sailor and 5 Sailor slots. (Although the Cog can’t use Sailors.)
- Main Sailing Quest Requirement: level 50+
- Main Sailing Quest Line:
- Cog Ship is a reward for completing the Black Spirit main quest line with the heading of “[The Great Expedition] Oquilla’s Eye” under the Suggested tab of your quest window (O).
- Start Quest:
– Vigorous Velia
Cog Ship is not meant for battle because of its low durability. It will will only hold one type of Barter item. You can use it for both, but it might be a bit frustrating or slow.
It’s a great ship for fast travel anywhere without much investment. But with its limitations, you may want to save your resources for the Bartali Sailboat. Bartali Sailboat is much slower, but better suited for Barter and battle.
Bartali Sailboat is purchased from Proix in the Velia Inn.
