NOTE: This article is my opinion on BDO Pearl Shop items. If you are really hurting for money, Black Desert can be played inexpensively. You may get a little frustrated, but it’s doable. This guide is more for those who enjoy spending money on their favorite entertainment. Enjoy! 🙂

Looking for the best buy for your money? In my opinion, the items below give a good advantage and make the game more enjoyable to play. Be careful with your pocket book, though! As you will soon see, Pearl Shop prices can start to add up into the thousands of dollars, if you purchase everything.

Pearl Shop Costs for Pets

I consider pets a must have item to play Black Desert. Pearl Shop prices for pets is usually 1100, unless you purchase the Classic cats and dogs.

They periodically go on sale for about 20% off. Sales larger than this are pretty rare. The lowest I’ve seen is 50% off.

Four Classic pets cost 3600 Pearls or 4400 Pearls for all others. Pets that are seasonal or Limited can be more expensive if you have to purchase bundles in order to obtain them.

The cost of having five T4 pets is about $500. This is the most expensive price, with buying pets at their most expensive, and having bad luck Exchanges. You can pre-order pets on the Marketplace, but this method takes luck and patience.

There are free pets available, but they will take some effort to obtain. (4 free pets can be obtained via the Main quest line. The others are a bit more challenging.)

Pearl Shop Costs for Weight Limit

After pets, Weight Limit is one of the hardest and most valuable items to obtain in game. Gaining just 650 Weight Limit will increase your grinding time x3. So lets look at the Pearl Shop costs:

After spending $100 in the Pearl Shop on Weight Limit, you can dramatically improve both Grinding time and Life Skill activities.

The [Event] Weight Limit Increases are only available periodically, so you may have to wait for them.

Pets are vital for both combat and Life Skills, as is Weight Limit and Inventory. Secret Book of Old Moon and Kamasylve Blessing are also nice to have. Below, I will list the most popular Life Skill purchases.

Black Desert Coupons & Sales

BDO periodically has new promotions and sales every Patch day that last for one week or more. Typically we see 10% to 20% off for a few Pearl items. Sometimes, there are special shorter term, “Flash Sales” with even higher discounts. Once in a while they might have 50% off. For example, their Anniversary pet sale.

Besides sales, Black Desert will offer coupons for free, or you may have to purchase them with Loyalty. These coupons work for one item in your cart and not your whole purchase.

BDO Coupon Highlights:

• Coupons normally have a limited time of registration.
• Upon registration there is usually a 7 day availability.
• View your registered coupons in the Coupon book in the Pearl Shop.
• Make your selection in the shop. After pressing Pearl button (not the Cart button) the Coupon book will open; left-click the coupon in order to receive your discount.
• For items already on sale, in the Pearl Shop, the discount is applied to the Sale Price.
• You cannot use multiple coupons on a single item.
• You cannot apply coupons on items in the Cart.
• Pearl Boxes are excluded.

Pearl Shop Top Rated Enhancement P2W

Here are a few items that can really cause an all-out flame war on the forums, with players ranting about Pearl Shop P2W. BDO is a gear-focused game, so it’s only natural that any P2W benefit in this area would be frowned upon by many in the community.

Pearl Shop Enhancement helpers give a significant advantage, but are not cheap.

The good news is that these items are also available by other means in game, either through Loyalties or Silver. Obtaining Pearl Shop items via Silver or Loyalties is often inconvenient, but at least it’s available.

#1 P2W Purchase: Artisan’s Memory

Artisan’s Memory is frequently called the most P2W thing in the Pearl Shop.

Artisan’s Memory turns 1 Memory Fragment into 5. So it will repair 5 Max Durability of your boss gear instead of just one, if it is yellow grade. This can save you millions on a more powerful weapon or armor piece.

Artisan’s Memory Pearl Shop Price:

• Quantity 1: 50 Pearls
• Quantity 10: 450 Pearls
• Quantity 100: 4000 Pearls

These do go on sale periodically and there are sometimes coupons available.

Players also have the option of logging in every day for one hour for 4 days. This will give you 400 Loyalties, which is enough to purchase 1 Artisan’s Memory from the Loyalty shop.

#2 P2W Purchase: Cron Stone

When you attempt to enhance a DUO or greater level item, there is a chance that it will downgrade its level instead of gaining a level. So your DUO could drop to a PRI. Cron Stones are used to protect an item from downgrading a level after a failed Enhancement attempt.

Accessories are treated differently. Cron Stones protect them from being destroyed, but accessories can still lose a level.

Obtaining Cron Stones:

• Attendance Rewards and Events
• Exchanging Pearl Costumes to Blacksmith (See exchange rates below.)
• 2 million silver each at the Blacksmith

The quantity required to protect Enhancement is about half the item’s cost in Cron Stones. For example, enhancement on a 500 million weapon would be: 500,000,000 / 2 = 250,000,000 then take 250,000,000 / 2,000,000 = 125 Cron Stones.

With a high cost of 2 million each, Cron Stones are too expensive. As of this writing, it’s cheaper to let a DUO item downgrade to PRI and then sell the PRI and purchase another DUO off the Marketplace to continue attempting a TRI. (Be sure to check the quantity and price of enhanced gear on Central Market.)

#3 P2W Purchase: Valk’s Cry

Valk’s Cry adds +1 to the Failstack, increasing the Enhancement Chance.

Valk’s Cry can only increase the Failstack by a maximum of 10.

Valk’s Cry from Loyalties:
Purchase Valks’ Cry with 100 Loyalties. It’s limited to 5 per Family per week.

Valk’s Cry from Pearl Costumes:
Pearl costumes can be turned into Cron Stones or Valk’s Cry at a Blacksmith.
