Beginner Barter Tips on What to Keep

A full [Level 5] Barter Route ends at obtaining Sea Coins. Often, you will have extra items left over, if you do every available trade and the maximum “Exchanges Remaining” allowed. [Level 1] and [Level 2] Sea Trade Goods can’t be sold. You don’t want to Barter for these, unless they have a future benefit, or you are willing to loose Silver to obtain more Barter Exp and Barter count.

More and more Barter Routes open, as your completed Barter count rises. You will start to see trades for items you can use to upgrade ships and ship parts. These items can’t be sold on the Markeplace, so it does no good to collect them, if you can’t use them. It’s good to know which Sea Trade Goods you should keep for possible future Barter opportunities.

One of the most difficult and expensive items you can obtain via Barter is Luminous Cobalt Ingot. The Sea Coin Price for this item is quite high, also. (800 Sea Coins). Brilliant Rock Salt Ingot and Brilliant Pearl Shard don’t start appearing until 5.1k Barter count. Cost is 1,600 Sea Coins each.

In your beginning Barter adventures, you will want to turn in extra [Level 1] Sea Trade Goods for Crow Merchants Guild’s Barter Voucher to Ravinia’s sisters in Velia/Iliya/Port Epheria. This will give you Verdant Black Stones. You will need 120 [Level 1] Sea Trade Goods for this purpose. The other 100 Verdant Black Stones you need, can be obtained by completing days 1 and 4 of Ravinia’s quest line.

All Sea Trade goods stack, except for [Level 5]. Ancado Inner Harbor bank is a good place to store [Level 5] extras, because most of the time the [Level 5] to Sea Coin exchanges happen in that area. You can transfer them via Wagon transfer at the <Storage Keeper>, although this can get pricey because of the distance.

Iliya Island Storage Contribution (CP) Cost

Iliya Island is another good location to store Sea Trade Goods. This island gives you 16 free Storage slots, but can be increased by spending Contribution Points on Storage housing.

Note that Lema Island gives Iliya Island storage, even though it’s far away.

* marks the houses that are a requirement in order to purchase another house on Iliya Island.

Extra Iliya Island Storage can be obtained by wearing a Value Pack.

At this time, you can’t buy extra storage slots for Iliya Island or Ancado Inner Harbor with Loyalties or Pearls. I can see them adding this in the future though perhaps?

Port Epheria and Velia storage can be increased with Loyalties (500 Loyalties for 1 slot) or Pearls (150 Pearls for 8 slots)

Maximum allowed slots is 192.
